Designers Samuel Lamas and Juliana Dulius present the Valentina outdoor armchair that not only serves its functional purpose but also stands as a piece of art, showcasing the potential of minimalist design to merge aesthetics with utility, while emphasizing the beauty of raw materials and geometric forms in creating comfortable and stylish outdoor seating.

This minimalist outdoor armchair made of solid wood and colored straps is designed within an architectural and geometric framework.
Promoting a simple aesthetic, the Valentina outdoor armchair has been awarded a 2023 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
All elements make up the functioning of the piece and are dimensioned to guarantee stability with a minimum of material.

This design approach emphasizes the geometric basis of the chair, while the detailed connections between elements suggest a dynamic interplay of forms.
The careful consideration given to how these profiles meet and interact not only contributes to the chair’s structural integrity but also infuses it with an aesthetic of precision and fluidity, reflecting a thoughtful blend of form and function.
The straps that define the seat and backrest, in addition to ensuring the permeability of the piece, improve comfort.
Valentina is an honest and playful piece for an understated ambiance.
