TRECA’s century-long journey—from precision springs to the Orient Express, to the French art de vivre—has accumulated rich cultural assets. But when history is only displayed, the brand remains trapped in the past. The new-generation showroom must reinterpret, not reproduce.
At the entrance, the classic façade plaque of the TRECA Paris flagship is reimagined as a “seal of time”—acknowledging origin without remaining there. The “Centennial Journey Train” runs through the façade: working with the existing column grid, structural relationships are transformed into depth-filled “train windows,” embedding different facets of French life into the elevation.
Yet beyond all explicit symbols, the one thing truly impossible to replicate lies in the brand’s smallest structure.

TRECA originated from precision spring manufacturing. The designer chose to re-understand the brand from this microscopic structure—not for formal recognizability, but because within it lies TRECA’s deeper logic: precision, support, elasticity, repetition, and the dynamic equilibrium between pressure and release.
The spring was abstracted into the “spiral”—a fundamental structure that becomes the rule by which the space operates. Walls deflect, circulation coils, and sightlines continuously penetrate, all generated by the same structural logic.
The brand no longer remains at the level of being “expressed”; it begins to truly participate in the architecture’s generation.

Traditional showroom interfaces, typically independent and parallel, here deflect, rotate, and connect, forming spatial boundaries with continuity.
The spiral transforms into circulation: through continuous curved surfaces, local constrictions and openings, the body constantly changes direction.

Ten independent product spaces are embedded within the system—autonomous yet connected through the main corridor. Semi-enclosed curved contours cause each showroom to unfold naturally like a chapter.
Secondary circulation routes continuously open on both sides, keeping the space always visible yet never fully exposed. Foreground, middle ground, and background are compressed within the same field of vision, stimulating the desire to explore.
The core cultural corridor further connects structure with brand time. Continuously curving interfaces resemble cinematic film being unspooled.
Brand history is no longer centrally displayed on a single wall, but gradually unfolds through human movement—transforming abstract “time” into a path the body can truly measure.

After precise calibration of structure, function, and circulation, the design actively introduced freedom. Burgundy establishes the deepest visual keynote, while vintage green, haze blue, and dusty rose appear as emotional afterimages from different dream fragments.
Brass metallic luster, mirrors, hand-painted botanical wallpapers, and crystal chandeliers establish a temperament difficult to define through any single style.
The design pursues neither absolute order nor complete freedom, but a balance maintaining continuous tension between precision and freedom.
The ten showrooms are not pure product displays, but ten proposals about life. Different colors, furniture, materials, and scenes constitute independent atmospheres. One enters, draws near, touches, sits down, imagines oneself truly living here.
