Istanbul-based architect Sami Savatlı introduces LOVE, a two-piece collectible design collection comprising the LOVE Chair and the LOVE Side Table, presented by ARKOBJECT in Istanbul.
Conceived at the intersection of design and sculpture, the collection explores how functional objects can move beyond utility and take on the presence and autonomy of sculptural works.
Developed through fluid, continuous forms, both pieces reinterpret familiar furniture typologies through a structural language in which lines extend, branch, and reconnect.
The resulting forms retain their function while establishing a distinct spatial identity.
Cast in aluminium and individually finished by hand, the pieces retain subtle variations in surface and texture as part of their material character.
Rather than concealing the traces of making, these variations are preserved, giving each piece a degree of individuality.
In the LOVE Chair, the outline of a heart emerges from the structure itself rather than being applied as a decorative motif.
The asymmetric backrest moves between line and volume, allowing the familiar symbol to become part of the object’s structure and silhouette.
The LOVE Side Table translates the same formal language to a different scale, creating a clear relationship between the two pieces through movement, material and form.
Positioned between collectible design and sculpture, LOVE retains the function of furniture while establishing an autonomous presence within space.
The collection is conceived to engage not only the body that encounters it, but also the architecture and atmosphere around it.

Sami Savatlı is an Istanbul-based designer working across interior design, furniture and collectible objects.
His practice explores material, form and spatial experience, with an emphasis on sculptural expression and material character. ARKOBJECT presents his collectible works in Istanbul.
