Simple geometric elements combine with gentle colors and minimal numeric components to create a sophisticated, elegant, and spectacular watch that evokes the Art Deco movement of the early 20th-Century.
Despite a simple design and the use of precious materials, Tourby has achieved a very decorative and elegant appearance.
The rose gold applique numbers are extremely high quality and the production including the assembly of the dials is extremely complex and expensive.

The rosé gold sword hand fits perfectly to this style. It is important to not have a flat appearance but together both the appliqué markers and the hands give the design depth.
This design is also available in a rhodium version, where the appliqué markers and hands are rhodium-plated and the dial has a sunburst pattern.
Naturally, the dials are from the highest quality 925/000 sterling silver.

The hands are made of stainless steel and then gold-plated.
Tourby Watches spared no expense in the Art Deco steel hands, although this was not technically necessary and it is actually quite uncommon.
But in the world of luxury, there are some things that are not necessary that make all the difference.

Nevertheless, steel hands always have an advantage over brass hands as they are more robust and can withstand being removed and remounted without any issues, while brass hands often have to be replaced because they bend or scratch during assembly.
The crystal of the Tourby Art Deco watches is an edge-domed sapphire crystal and is reminiscent of the shape of the old pocket watches.
On most pocket watches the crystal is mostly made from plastic and is inexpensive.

A domed sapphire crystal however is extremely complicated and expensive to produce.
These special crystals cost four times what flat sapphire crystals and a hundred than plastic crystals.
The crystal on our Art Deco is not only curved on the outside but also the inside, this kind of cylindrical shape is very difficult to produce.

The crystal is thinner which is optically much better suited to classic watches compared to thicker crystals on dive watches resulting in the typical “bull’s eye” design.
The 40.5 mm case is designed by Tourby to wear very flat and elegant, even under a dress shirt.
