The Nonconforming Coffee Table by the sibling team behind Oliver Sam Buckingham transforms a piece of furniture into a work of art, aligning itself with the designers’ aim to create “functional art.”

The curvaceous coffee table removes all constraints and cannot be measured, quantified, duplicated, or even, understood.
The design brief could not be drawn up; the idea is alive. It is now, it is present.
A design like this should not have to change its characteristics to conform with the expectations of society.

The three islands are solid wood, measuring 80 milimeters thick.
These massive, heavy pieces are carefully hand wrapped in leather.
The cool mint leather is finished with a tailored leather strap with a contrast feature stitch around the perimeter of each island.
The islands are supported by four warped, aluminum legs measuring 60mm thick in a brushed finish and coated with a gloss stove lacquer.

These structures push the net weight into the high 100 kilograms.
This idea flows all the way down to the floor with 4 brushed, aluminum adjustable feet with a diameter of 160mm each.
The feet can be adjusted by a bespoke Oliver Sam engraved tool to level the table in any environment.
This coffee table is beyond the realms of luxury furniture.
