PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 DEX Wireless Gaming Mouse was designed in collaboration with the world’s elite esports athletes. It embodies Logitech G’s product design methodology to meet the performance needs of those competing at the highest level.
To create a high-performance mouse for the global esports community, we started with a proven favourite: Logitech G PRO X Superlight Wireless Gaming Mouse.
Designers stripped it to its skeleton and sculpted a new, more supportive shape on the high-performance chassis of its predecessor.
Logitech G PRO X Superlight 2 DEX Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Mouse by Logitech G, won a 2025 Good Design Award from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design, and Urban Studies.
After years of iteration and global collaboration, we landed on a shape that feels “invisible” in the hand, allowing players’ true skill to shine through. Dozens of CNC and 3D-printed prototypes were tested to fine-tune every curve and contour.
We went the extra mile by working with the world’s top competitive esports players. As the leading provider of pro-level gear, we know that with the right gaming gear, players can achieve their goals, break records, and build careers.
This is Design by Collaboration, a distinctive approach that merges insights from initial concept to final production. We worked directly with pro teams across the globe to gather actionable insights on grip preferences, in-game movements, and performance goals.
By sitting down with players, we got as many hands on the mouse as possible, assessing how it fit diverse grip styles, testing materials, and dialing in every detail.
We had pros define what matters most, and DEX was designed to reflect their expertise and preferences. The main objectives: increased comfort, hand placement freedom, and a pro-grade wireless gaming mouse that empowers peak performance.
It was critical to look and feel comfortable, and when held, should instantly make players feel like they could play for as long as desired without discomfort.
Our designers and engineers used this feedback to innovate, refine, and deliver a mouse that feels less like hardware and more like a true extension of one’s hand, a tool designed to help pros perform their best, every time.
We worked closely with our ergonomics team to ensure DEX achieves the sensation of a mouse working like a true extension of the hand. No two gamers are alike, so its shape had to support a variety of grips and play styles.
DEX’s height was increased asymmetrically for more mid-hand support, with curves towards the back to fit players’ backhands. This ergo shape reduces fatigue and improves natural control during high-stakes tournaments.
This shape is essential in pro esports matches, as it empowers players to boost accuracy and control in games where precision is everything. DEX’s design plays a critical role in enabling space for technological innovation.
By optimising internal architecture by streamlining the layout, minimising unnecessary materials, and refining the shell structure, designers created more room for advanced technologies like higher-capacity sensors, custom-tuned switches, and wireless communication modules.
A thoughtfully engineered form improves airflow and thermal management, which is essential as processing power and polling rates increase.
DEX is packed with innovations tailored to unique needs of pro players. Its HERO 2 sensor delivers pinpoint tracking at over 44,000 dots per inch at up to 88G-forces of acceleration, at speeds of up to 888 inches per second.
The HERO 2 sensor was engineered to exceed human capabilities with ultimate precision and redefine what’s possible in competitive gaming.
With HERO 2, DEX ensures perfect accuracy during lightning-fast movements, a crucial advantage when a single pixel can be the difference between a win and a loss.
888 IPS is an incredible achievement technologically and as a speed metric. 888 IPS equates moving your mouse at 80 km/h, 20% faster than the closest competitor. DEX’s HERO 2 sensor achieved the highest speed on the market to perform well above the needs of our pro players.
To match this, our engineers upgraded our LIGHTSPEED wireless technology to support 8 kHz polling, offering a faster, more responsive connection and ultra-low latency that beats wired mice every time.
Hybrid LIGHTFORCE switches combine the speed of an optical sensor with the satisfying click of a mechanical switch, so every action feels fast, crisp, and reliable.
Weighing in at just 60g, the weight of a few US nickels, and delivering up to 95 hours of battery life, DEX is designed to keep up game after game, allowing players to trust their mouse and stay focused on what matters most: securing victories and achieving their professional goals.
