The Powerbeats Pro 2 builds on the legacy of Beats’ most beloved fitness earbuds, reimagined for a new generation of athletes and health-conscious users. Designed with precision, purpose, and progress in mind, this next-gen product raises the bar by integrating advanced biometric tracking, ergonomic refinements, and premium audio performance – all within a sleeker, more compact design.
Powerbeats Pro 2 by Beats Electronics, won a 2025 Good Design Award from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design, and Urban Studies.
The core innovation of Powerbeats Pro 2 lies in its seamless fusion of technology and form. The earbuds are among the first in their class to feature integrated heart rate monitoring, allowing users to track real-time biometric data without relying on additional wearables.
This innovation simplifies the fitness experience and responds to a growing demand for multi-functional, intuitive products that support active lifestyles.

Traditional fitness tracking often involves multiple devices – earbuds for music, a smartwatch or chest strap for health data – but the Powerbeats Pro 2 brings it all together in a single, streamlined form factor.
The design evolution is evident in every detail. The new earhooks are 20% thinner than the original, made from a super-light nickel-titanium alloy that retains its formable shape, while offering superior flexibility and comfort.
With a smaller and lighter earbud than the original Powerbeats Pro, the new form-factor provides a stable, yet unintrusive fit, that adapts to a wide range of ear shapes and movements.
The earbuds come with five sizes of silicone ear tips, allowing for a personalised acoustic seal that enhances both fit and audio fidelity, supporting inclusive design for a broader range of users.

Advanced sound engineering meets real-world functionality; the Powerbeats Pro 2 features Active Noise Cancelling (ANC), Transparency Mode, and Adaptive EQ – all tailored to enhance user control and immersion.
Spatial audio with dynamic head tracking adds another layer of depth to the listening experience, creating a fully enveloping soundstage that moves with the listener.
These features are enabled by Apple’s H2 chip, which also ensures smooth cross-platform connectivity, low-latency performance, and efficient power management across both iOS and Android devices.
The Powerbeats Pro 2’s compact charging case has also been reimagined – now 33% smaller with wireless charging support – offering greater portability while delivering more battery life and convenience.

This design decision reflects a broader theme of “more with less,” exemplifying how thoughtful engineering can compress functionality into minimal form without compromise.
From a sustainability perspective, Powerbeats Pro 2 packaging has been updated with an emphasis on reducing waste and environmental impact.
It features 100% fiber-based materials sourced from recycled content and responsibly managed forests. Beats has eliminated plastic trays and reduced the overall size of the packaging, cutting down on material usage and emissions during transport.
Launched alongside the global “Listen to Your Heart” campaign, Powerbeats Pro 2 was amplified by endorsements from elite athletes such as LeBron James, Lionel Messi, and Shohei Ohtani.

This campaign not only showcased the product’s performance capabilities, but also reinforced its cultural relevance, connecting the brand’s heritage in music with the aspirational ethos of modern athleticism.
The Powerbeats Pro 2 redefines what fitness audio can look and feel like, combining sleek industrial design, inclusive ergonomics, and breakthrough health technology.
With a design rooted in precision and a user experience grounded in real-world performance, the Powerbeats Pro 2 has set a new benchmark in fitness audio.
They empower users to move better, train smarter, and live more intentionally – delivering the perfect harmony of form, function, and innovation.
