Danish architects Spacon & X and builder Een Til Een have conceived the “HOThouse”, a building modular system that can be fairly and easily modified after construction.
The HOThouse was created to provide a remedy for municipalities to provide housing to the still-growing flow of refugees coming to Denmark.

Danish architects Spacon & X and builder Een Til Een have conceived the “HOThouse” as a building modular system that can be fairly and easily modified after construction.
The refugee resident’s needs and requests can be accommodated in a larger scale, helping to create a positive personal connection with the house as major changes in the resident’s requests and need can be met.
The HOT-house is also flexible in the longer run. The houses can, later on, be combined to create larger buildings and be used for a school or an institution.

The houses are founded on special pillars and can be moved without leaving a trace.

The house is, therefore, less tied to its original function and site and can be resold if the customer wants it.
