Pearson Lloyd teams up with the office furniture provider Teknion and together launch the new Routes Collection that comprises desks, tables, task chairs, lounge seating, screens, and accessories that are designed to create effective and inspiring workplaces in the post-Covid era.

Routes Collection’s design and sustainable concept recently won a 2022 Green Good Design Award from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
Pearson Lloyd’s latest collection of office furniture includes boldly conceived products that depart from traditional contract furniture.

Routes Collection is readily adaptable to spaces big and small, to the requirements of an established enterprise, and to the needs of those who work at home.
The stylish, intuitive furnishings are as playful as they are practical, including a selection of seating, tables, storage, and privacy products with casual, lively design elements drawn from makerspace influences.

The collection’s focus on function is tempered with playfulness and irreverence.
There’s a distinct sense of light-heartedness to the design of each piece—a strong and charismatic personality rooted in the chunky, confident curves of tubular steel and bold color palette—a signal red accent inspired by tool culture and signage.
Where possible, the pieces are designed for flat-pack distribution and self-assembly, allowing for energy-efficient, direct-to-customer shipping that saves both money and lessens the environmental impact.

In addition, Teknion has created an accessible online platform that makes specifying Routes products simple, fast, and efficient, so companies can easily create agile and adaptable, forward-thinking workspaces, perfect for the post-Covid era and the new age of work.
The refined, utilitarian look befits the foundational idea that the Routes Collection should serve as an essential and intuitive toolbox for workspace creation. Each piece fulfills one or more essential functions.

Much of the collection takes a nod to tool culture in explicit ways—the Multipurpose Stool, for example, is inspired by colorful builders’ buckets that are often used in impromptu seating arrangements before being stacked away in a corner; the handle of the Adjustable Side Table is a conscious reference to the adjustment mechanism of a bicycle seat, and the seat of a tractor was a distinct inspiration for the Three-Legged Stool.
Providing a balanced portfolio of high-performance work tools, the elements needed to work are executed distinctly with bold, playful, purposeful cues that change how work is experienced.
A Mobile Soft Screen, Multi-Use Stool, and Adjustable Side Table fulfill the intention to provide furniture that’s as agile and intuitive.
The adjustable side table has a handle intentionally reminiscent of a bicycle seat adjustment.
Stackable buckets inspired the Multi-Use Stool.
It’s efficient, and with wheels, convenient in fluid workplace settings.
The tubular steel curves on Routes Desks and Tables provide a fresh, distinct character.
Soft Seating products also echo that design language and offer options for casual, comfortable gathering spots.

The collection creates an opportunity for teams to define their ideal “route” to the completion of any given task.
Whether it’s a small studio looking for a complete working environment that can transform to meet the needs of changing tasks and teams, or a large corporation seeking to develop pop-up work zones in a large office setting, Routes gives them the ability to swiftly make, unmake, and adapt workspaces in response to the changing requirements of individuals, teams, and tasks—an essential capability in the new, post-Covid working world.
