StudioMOM’s LAVA bike, developed with Australian hydrogen battery pioneer LAVO, is the world’s first hydrogen bike, requiring no heavy batteries with a formal design language as a means of transport, not a bicycle.

The design integrates LAVO’s hybrid hydrogen battery, which uses solar energy to extract hydrogen from water.
LAVO believes it’s the first commercial use of this technology, which was developed by leading researchers at the University of New South Wales.
The project’s goal is to showcase the versatility and safety of hydrogen fuel cells over lithium-ion batteries.

Meanwhile, electric bikes are quickly becoming the ride of choice for urban commuters, which is why the Dutch design team is coming up with a new type of zero-emission two-wheeler.
Instead of a regular e-bike, Studio MOM proposes a configuration that allows users to haul more cargo.
Given that a full hydrogen tank is lighter than a standard rechargeable battery, the LAVO Bike can carry more refills.

This allows owners to benefit from a longer range and never rely on the power grid.
From a configuration standpoint, the LAVO Bike uses a hub center steering setup.
The frame is reinforced at the front to support heavier loads, designed to be ergonomically adjustable for everyone.
The technology has been cleverly incorporated into the frame. Just look at the lighting units.
Studio MOM notes that this modular machine will have parts that connect just like as a toolkit like LEGO blocks.

The bike is outfitted with small hydrogen tanks that collect hydrogen from water and solar energy and use it to power the bike.
Its proprietary energy storage system converts electricity from solar panels using an electrolyzer that separates water into its hydrogen and oxygen components before transferring it to a long-term storage system containing a metal alloy to produce hydrogen.

The bike fully charges in about 10 minutes and has a range of about 150 km.
The LAVA bike could wipe out all the automobiles, airplanes running on oil and gas we can save the planet.
This game-changer is a possibility of the future.
