Nova Lima, MG, Brazil
Brazilian designer Linda Martins has developed a modular system called Fly inspired when coronavirus restrictions were first imposed in Brazil, as the need arose to adapt our home environment to our changing lives.
This project was awarded a 2021 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

Fly is made of brass, steel, and reused pressed wood.
It comes in different heights, has many configurations, and is easy to assemble.
The structure is light, with shelves that seem to float.
The butterfly-shaped screws add a beautiful touch and symbolize freedom, reminding everyone to use our imagination to explore our possibilities.

It represents the need to change the house because, in this pandemic time, we have learned that the house needs to adapt to us, and not the other way around.
It is a minimalist system, adaptable for different types of environments and uses: it is the metamorphosis of the home.
A new way to think about furniture, a new way to relate to your home. Get inspired. Fly System is designed for lifetime use. This way, the user will buy less furniture.
It’s simple to set up; just fix the bars with the butterfly screw into the channels drilled from the frame to support the shelves.
The keywords that follow this creation are freedom, simplicity, and elegance.
