Treviso, Italy
Enlisted by Infinite, Francesco Loschi, Giuseppe Pagano, and Paolo Panetto of EXiT Architetti Associati have completed the restoration and conversion of the sixteenth-century building in Treviso into a space dedicated to the discovery and learning equipped with the latest technology.

Built-in the 1500s for the military leader Mercurio Bua as his private house, located inside the ancient walls of Treviso and overlooks the monumental Temple of San Nicolò.
Over the centuries, the building has been transformed multiple times that involved the city of Treviso.
From the late medieval period to the present day, passing through the damage caused by the bombings of two world wars and the consequent reconstructions, which partially altered its identity and wrote its destiny, through the conversion into headquarters of several public institutions.

The first step of the project fulfilled the need to remove those inconsistent integrations with the history of the building, consolidate the original structure, give it a clearer reading, and rediscover some ancient frescoes on the main facade, according to the spirit of Treviso, also called “Urbs Picta” thanks to its many frescoed buildings.
A new place where the original architecture and spatiality of the building dialogue with the contemporaneity, because of its new function as co-working, to reach new forms of professionalism and sociality, linked to a fluid use of high-tech services.

The roof, a structural element of great importance thanks to its particular cross construction, is unique in the territory for the width and length of the beams.
The recovery of the paintings on the facades was entrusted to a referenced historical and conservation-restoration company which took care of restoring them to their original value.
For the internal restoration, a careful selection was made from the entire Made in Italy offer by integrating the most important brands, a symbol of prestige, with lesser-known but equally sought-after names, to recreate a design environment worthy of the building that houses it.

On the ground floor, three spacious meeting rooms, well-equipped and welcoming design environments, can host meetings, presentations, and training workshops.
In an environment where several companies and professionals meet, dedicated to those seeking comfort but appreciating the sharing of spaces with a view to exchanging and collaboration, five comfortable, finely furnished offices are available to share.
They host from four to more mobile workstations in which to manage one’s business independently, according to one’s own methods and timing.
