Claudio D’Amore’s CODE41 team doesn’t just lift the lid on the reality of forging a reputation in modern watchmaking, they go as far as to itemize every component used in the construction of their products so that members of this dynamic community can see precisely how their purchase is contributing to the running and growth of this groundbreaking group.
In today’s watchmaking industry, CODE41 had decided to do things differently from day one.
The concept for their first mechanical timepiece debuted on the March 2016, with the introduction of the TTO label, which stands for Total Transparency on Origin.
This means that CODE41 communicates precisely where each component of the watch is made, each component’s cost price, and each timepiece’s profit margin.
And for this new project, the Edition 3 of the CODE41 X41, features sophisticated watches with an exposed mechanism, a Swiss movement and a sublime look.
The 42mm-wide titanium-cased watch weighs just 55 grams with its (30g) leather strap attached.
The strap features a quick-change system that enables quick customization.
Angular, jutting bridges (in some cases, colored blue) and an openwork dial are both softened by the delicate surface finishes applied by hand.
With the CODE41, particular attention has been paid to the way light moves around the movement so that the vista is one of elegance rather than edginess.
Over 90% of the X41’s value is Swiss in origin (with the lion’s share of production costs being spent on the movement itself).
Despite this, the traditional “Swiss Made” label does not feature anywhere on the watch, as the brand prefers to focus on the actual material quality of the watch rather than relying on old-fashioned (and often abused) categorizations.
Triple redundant flight controls – two wired systems, plus one wireless backup system.
Edition 3 of the CODE41 X41 timepiece features high-end Swiss-made timepieces, belonging to the Haute Horlogerie category.
On the wrist, the CODE41 X41 wears every bit like the $20,000 products with which it aims to stand toe-to-toe. But it’s not. The watch sells at a fraction of the cost.
CODE41 is creating timepieces specially designed for their own network of watch lovers.
