Swiss watchmaking takes a playful new turn with the launch of the Royal Pop collection, a vibrant collaboration between Audemars Piguet and Swatch. Inspired by Pop Art and designed to challenge traditional ideas of watch wear, the collection transforms the legendary Royal Oak into a colorful pocket-watch concept inspired by the Swatch POP of the 1980s.
The Royal Pop collection features eight Bioceramic models that can be worn around the neck, carried in a pocket, attached to a handbag, or displayed as a desk watch thanks to a removable stand. Combining bold aesthetics with advanced Swiss engineering, each watch is powered by Swatch’s innovative hand-wound SISTEM51 movement with a remarkable 90-hour power reserve and anti-magnetic Nivachron™ balance spring.

The Royal Pop collection pays tribute to the Royal Oak’s signature details, including the “Petite Tapisserie” dial pattern, octagonal bezel, and eight screws. The number eight appears throughout the collection, symbolizing the Royal Oak’s geometry and inspiring the release of eight distinct models.
OTTO ROSSO arrives in vivid pink and cherry red tones, pairing a pink dial with a cherry red Bioceramic bezel and matching calfskin lanyard for an energetic monochromatic look.
HUIT BLANC offers a minimalist white interpretation elevated by eight multicolored bezel screws, making it the most playful expression of the collection’s Pop Art inspiration.
GREEN EIGHT embraces rich green shades with a tonal light-green bezel and matching screws, creating a fresh and contemporary aesthetic inspired by nature and modern street style.
BLAUE ACHT combines lime green with light blue accents, resulting in one of the collection’s most daring color combinations and emphasizing the youthful spirit of the collaboration.
ORENJI HACHI contrasts a deep navy dial and bezel with bright orange screws and stitching, delivering a sporty and graphic appearance with strong visual contrast.
LAN BA is one of the two Savonnette-style models featuring a small seconds subdial at six o’clock. Its blue and light-blue palette highlights the technical elegance of the mechanical movement.
OCHO NEGRO presents a more understated option with a black dial and strap contrasted by a white bezel, offering a bold monochrome interpretation of the Royal Oak design language.
Finally, OTG ROZ closes the collection with a lively mix of teal, yellow, and pink. Featuring a pink small seconds subdial and yellow octagonal bezel, it captures the collection’s joyful and unconventional spirit.
Crafted from Swatch’s signature Bioceramic material, all eight models feature sapphire crystals, Super-LumiNova® hands and markers, and partially visible movements through transparent casebacks. Available exclusively at selected Swatch stores beginning May 16, 2026, Royal Pop represents far more than a watch collection—it is a celebration of color, creativity, and disruptive Swiss design.
