Moscow, Russia
Designed by Moscow-based Artemy Lebedev, Ostanovkus-5 is a modern bus stop shelter with a minimalist design.
The bus shelter fits into both modern and historical surroundings, protects passengers from rain, snow, sun and provides travel updates.
The shelter can be taken apart for transportation and is assembled from ready-made parts.
The design is so simple that only two people are required for assembly.
No welding is necessary as all parts are held together by nuts and bolts.
Ostanovkus-5 has a modular structure, which means that when required, it can be built in one or two sections, with one or two benches.
The shelter has a route map or an additional city map and so on.
The route map is located along the back of the shelter and acts as a sidewall protecting passengers from wind.
Transparent sidewalls do not obstruct the view and make the shelter visually lighter.
The roof is transparent which is especially nice in the fall when it can be dark inside the shelters even during the day.
Tint film protects from hot sun in the summer.
At night, Ostanovkus-4 is softly lit with built-in lighting.
The name of the stop is written on the sides of the roof.
Route numbers, destinations and arrival times are shown on the display.
Just like the entire frame, the display appears to be made from cast iron which makes Ostanovkus-4 even more beautiful.
