Inspired by the Chinese ceremonial tea culture and Zen philosophy, Xiaoke Huang and Wanxian Yu of Suofeiya Group Design Center create the Zen Tea Table, a furniture/appliance piece that combines Zen philosophy, design, and technology.

The project has been awarded a 2021 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
Contemporary tea tastes and habits move in tandem with the traditional tea ceremony culture but are also in line with the behavior of modern people.
The Zen tea table visually seems to be floating in mid-air, while standing still on the floor, thus expressing Chinese Zen philosophy.

The glass display cabinet is specially designed for exquisite tea sets. Intelligent tea-making equipment and intelligent disinfection equipment are embedded in the table.
Highly adaptable built-in sockets provide convenience for modern smart life, allowing the owner to enjoy tea at the Zen tea table.

The large arc and suspended design are as quiet and calm as jade, and the addition of multiple intelligent modules such as one-key tea brewing, intelligent disinfection, and embedded sockets can meet the needs of modern people’s lives.

The spring-style water outlet makes the tea brewing a more visual experience.
The built-in disinfection cabinet guarantees users’ hygiene and health needs, and the built-in plugs meet the modern habit of charging smart devices on the spot, making tea more pleasant and peaceful.
The transparent tea set display area is also in line with the love and communication habits of oriental tea culture.
