Miami, Florida, USA
Robert A. M. Stern and his design team at RAMSA together with Rockwell Group and Swiss landscape architects Enea Garden Design have designed two new Miami residential towers for developers Related Group and Integra Investments at the edge of Biscayne Bay with a sweeping bell-shaped footprint that will be instantly recognizable with rounded forms and a glass design that draws on the city’s Art Deco and Miami Modern heritage.

Adapted for 21st-Century living, the twin buildings will offer iconic views to the water, south across Biscayne Bay, and north to the lights of Downtown Miami.
The two-tower property, with lavish interiors by Rockwell Group, are expected to rise 46 and 48 stories and yield 354 bespoke residences.
The towers will offer an everyday “St. Regis” hotel-inspired living experience, complete with historic five-star service.
Soaring 46 stories, “The William” (Tower One) is designed to maximize its location on the edge of Biscayne Bay, offering endless downtown and water views and nautical-inspired architecture.

The façade furthers the design narrative established by its sister tower, with rounded forms, gentle curves, and cascading terraces that blend into the skyline and sea.
The sister tower (Tower Two), “The Astor,” pays homage to William Backhouse Astor Sr., a former Manhattan real estate magnate and member of the prominent Astor Family, who’s grandson, John Jacob Astor IV, founded the St. Regis brand in 1904.
Never-ending views of Biscayne Bay’s turquoise waters rounds out the picture-perfect package.
“Together we have looked to Miami’s rich architectural traditions, updated for 21st-century living, to celebrate one of the world’s great ports-of-call with geometries evoking two grand ocean liners slipping past each other, states Paul Whalen, Partner at Robert A.M. Stern Architects.
“These buildings will provide a welcoming, low-scale character on approach from the street or from the bay, while their crowns will mark the site from a distance as a gift to the Miami skyline.”

“We see this vertical community as an expression of the qualities that make Miami one of the most appealing places in the world to call home, an international resort city and cultural hub oriented to the sea and the sky.”
“The interior concept for The Residences was inspired by Miami’s history as a major trading and travel hub from the 19th century to the present, as well as the city’s coastal location, unique ecosystem, and the building’s unparalleled views of the Biscayne Bay,” continues Greg Keffer, Partner at Rockwell Group.
“Land and sea travel had a transformative role in the development of South Florida, from the extension of the East Coast Railway to the establishment of the Port of Miami, which attracted travelers by train and cruise ship to explore the ‘magic city.’ All of these ideas have informed our interiors’ blend of leisure and luxury.”
“Miami is truly coming into its own and Brickell is at its epicenter,” says Jon Paul Pérez, President at Related.
“Much like the first St. Regis hotel solidified New York City as the global hub for culture, commerce, and society 100+ years ago, our plans for this property cement Brickell as an international metropolis for a new era of connoisseurs.”

“Miami has reached a new level of prestige, solidifying its position as one of the world’s most desirable places to live, work, and play,” said Nelson Stabile, Principal at Integra.
“Given the insatiable demand for top-tier residential products, we feel the market is ready for a bespoke building of this caliber—a masterpiece with an elevated lifestyle experience that only the iconic St. Regis brand can deliver. We are sparing no expense to make this the definitive Miami address.”
St. Regis Hotels & Resorts has set the standard for glamour and sophistication for more than a century. The original St. Regis New York City property, which opened in 1904, has long been a destination among the world’s elite, including cultural icons such as Andy Warhol, Salvador Dalí, and Marilyn Monroe.
With its new Miami entry, St. Regis continues its legacy of being at the bleeding edge of luxury and culture.
