Tokyo, Japan
Situated in the recently revitalized Azabudai Hills district, the 330-meter-high Mori JP tower by Pelli Clarke & Partners marks the heart of a dynamic new mixed-use district in the city center, establishing a new focal point for Tokyo’s skyline.

Created in collaboration with leading Japanese developer Mori Building, Pelli Clarke & Partners designed the urban layout and architectural vision for the 8.1-hectare Azabudai Hills.
The Mori JP Tower rises over the Azabudai Hills district with its distinctive pearl-gray glass facade.
It is designed to evoke a lotus flower, with a crown featuring four curved glass petals.
This unique form creates a new landmark on the Tokyo skyline, and the integrated lighting design adds another dimension at night.
The tower’s form glows, with strands of light drawing from the street to the sky.
Inside, the tower’s eleven uppermost floors are dedicated as high-end luxury Aman Residences.
Another 48 stories of offices follow.
Two floors of dedicated research and clinical spaces for the Keio University Center for Preventive Medicine are also included, and the design culminates in a ground-level retail podium that connects the building with the “Modern Urban Village” underneath.

The top 11 floors of the Mori JP Tower have been designated as Aman Residences, Tokyo, under the hospitality company Aman.
Adjacent to the tower, two additional mixed-use buildings complement the surrounding landscape.
The tower’s “Residence A” rises 53 floors, housing 32- residential units in addition to Aman’s flagship 122-key luxury hotel, which is scheduled to open this month. Meanwhile, “Residence B,” which features 64 floors, offers 970 residential units.
The street level is designed to offer a dynamic blend of public spaces, parks, green areas, pedestrian pathways, retail outlets, and a market hall, fostering a welcoming and accessible atmosphere.
A significant portion of the site, one-third in total, is allocated to green spaces, which include an expansive lawn for community gatherings and an urban orchard showcasing 320 varieties of plants.
