Led by Frederico Roeber, the Metro Bus Porto emphasizes sustainable urban growth, integrates recreational areas, redevelops sidewalks, and improves the landscape, focusing on pedestrian connectivity and the new Metro Bus system.
Key to the design is the inclusion of tunnel crossings for the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), ensuring seamless integration with urban life, facilitating spacious green areas and efficient vehicle flow, and enhancing pedestrian experiences.

It reflects a commitment to sustainable urban development, emphasizing green spaces and pedestrian accessibility.
For its architectural accomplishments, Frederico Roeber was awarded with a Europe 40Under40 Architecture and Design Award by by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies , which acknowledges the talent of architects under the age of 40 across Europe.

The BRT line spans 4 km with eight stations featuring rooftop gardens enhancing aesthetics and environmental impacts by reducing urban heat and carbon footprint.
This initiative also converts parking spaces into green areas, promoting biodiversity and a pedestrian-friendly environment.
