The James Desk was envisioned as an elegant and sophisticated solution for the home office. It features a set of natural wood storage drawers, an undermount leather-wrapped saddle pocket and a hidden leather-wrapped storage compartment within the elongated writing surface. With ample storage and wire management to keep a clean surface, the James Desk is a luxurious statement piece that provides an elevated look and feel for home or office. The Executive Desk features two sets of natural wood storage drawers, instead of one.
It is constructed of warm wood, natural leather and accented with metal banding and is produced in Italy by Turri.
“The James Desk was born from a void in the marketplace. When searching for home office desks, we could never find anything that was the right size, material or aesthetic,” said the designer. “Thus, we designed the James desk, an elegantly shaped leather-wrapped piece that incorporates a wood writing surface, a concealed leather drawer and wire management for a clean surface.
“Each of our designs is either a solution to a found need, or a realization of an idea regarding how furniture can be set in space like a work of art, yet serve a functional and comforting need,” continued the designer.
The manufacturer, Turri, is a true master of high-end Italian craftsmanship. Its century-long savoir-faire allows them to seamlessly combine premium materials – such as wood, marble, lacquer and leather – into a harmonious piece.
Merging the designer’s vision with Italian craftsmanship, this exceptional piece rewards closer inspection. The same meticulous craftsmanship visible on the exterior continues into these intimate spaces.
The refined leather detailing moves from the curved front panels to the drawer interiors, as well as to the undermount leather-wrapped saddle pocket and hidden leather-wrapped storage compartment. These thoughtful embellishments add to the design experience without complicating the form – the balance the designer aims to achieve in every piece.
The James Desk measures W 152 cm x D 53 cm x H 83 cm (W 60″ x D 21″ x H 32.5”); Executive Desk: W 220 cm x D 85 cm x H 83 cm (W 86.5” x D 33.5” x H 32.5”).
