Poly 335 Financial Center will become a large-scale mixed-use complex in the Zengcheng district of Guangzhou, China designed by Goettsch Partner with Guangzhou Design Institute Group Co., Ltd. for the Poly Real Estate (Group) Co., Ltd.

Set to become the central gathering place for the greater metropolitan area, the new complex is situated on the outer lines of Guangzhou’s subway and rail systems and borders residential neighborhoods and a new regional transit station.
The project is conceived as an ideal indoor-outdoor setting for a vibrant, commercially successful community with new residences, offices, shops, and hospitality offerings.
Poly 335 Financial Center has recently been awarded a 2022 International Architecture Awards Honorable Mention by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

The master plan for the site is designed around a central courtyard that brings together the varied tenants and residents to create a dynamic civic atmosphere.
Other buildings include a neighboring 120-meter-tall hotel tower with meeting rooms, dining facilities, and fitness amenities, as well as residential apartments and a three-level retail mall.
Facing major vehicular and pedestrian avenues from the south and west, the landscaped central courtyard winds its way into the site, transitioning visitors in three stages from an active public space to a more serene retail space.

The three elements include a plaza with newly commissioned sculptures, a signature display area presenting seasonal exhibitions and landscapes, and a retail court.
Designed as a gathering place where tenants, retail visitors, and office occupants can enjoy varied food and beverage offerings, the retail court will overlook a central water feature.
Surrounding the central courtyard, the three-level retail mall is planned with new restaurants and lounges, a cinema with an IMAX theater, landscaped outdoor terraces, and an expansive green rooftop—a tranquil amenity for apartment residents and hotel guests alike.

Tenants of the Class A office tower will look out through a graduating façade of prismatic glass and structural steel that emulates the sunlight and sky reflecting off the nearby East River.
The tower’s architectural companion—the 290-key, high-end hotel rising above the shopping mall—creates a paired form seen most prominently from the east and west approaches of Qichecheng Avenue.
The hotel will share the retail mall’s green roof and includes meeting facilities, a restaurant, and fitness amenities that interlock with the mall’s architecture.
