The new façade of the whole complex and the starting point of the planned reconstruction, upon completion of which Tolmachevo will become the largest regional airport in Russia
Tolmachevo Airport has been awarded an Honorable Mention at the 2024 International Architecture Awards from The Chicago Athenaeum and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
One of the key features of the project is the large-scale entrance hall, characterized by luminous columns that create a striking visual effect, blending simplicity with a bold, photogenic impact.

The architects have focused on combining functionality with aesthetic appeal.
The entrance hall offers an inviting atmosphere through its openness and bright design, ensuring an impactful first impression for visitors.
The use of clean lines, expansive glass facades, and light-filled spaces reflects a modern architectural style while contributing to a seamless passenger experience.
The design by SPEECH highlights the integration of laconism with contemporary “WOW-effect” elements, where the emphasis on light and transparency aligns with the airport’s goal of creating a memorable and comfortable space for travelers.
