Ori manages to be more of a light sculpture than a desk lamp. Designed by Alexander Lervik, it is playful and surprising while paying homage to other iconic pieces.

Ori has been awarded a Prize Design for Modern Furniture + Lighting 2023 by Global Design News and The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum for Architecture and Design.

Lervik’s intention was to make an object that looked like a fairy, taking shape in the mist as a small sculpture. Ori creates this effect as its entire interior is filled with small LED lamps that provide an evenly distributed light.

Made of paper attached on a steel frame, Lervik combined the form of the 1930’s the Anglepoise lamp, which is made of steel and sheet metal, with the rice lamps popularized in Sweden in the 1970’s. Another of his inspirations was the iconic Flos’s Gatto lamp, which was also made of paper and steel frame.
Ori is available in three sizes.
