KIA’s all-electric mid-size crossover SUV 2024 KIA EV9 is developed on the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), features three rows of seats, and has an aerodynamic design using “triangular fender structures and highly pronounced geometric wheel arches that combine with the fuselage body,” as KIA explains.
For its advanced design qualities, the 2024 Kia EV9 has been awarded a 2023 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

The Kia InfoSystem “Ki” presents an innovative infotainment concept infused with Kia’s new identity, offering a centripetally unified user experience that also improves intuitive usability for electric vehicle operation and charging.
The interface is crafted following a design philosophy that embraces boldness in harmony with nature, through a visual concept known as “Ki.”
‘Ki” [kee] signifies ascent or elevation, drawing motivation from Kia’s fresh CI and the design elements of the vehicle’s interior and exterior.
It establishes a graphic principle that accentuates a rising tendency, resulting in an infotainment system that provides a distinctive Kia branding experience, unified across the instrument panel gauges, IVI’s card layout, imagery, icons, and typography.

Interaction animation design has been optimized to enhance the visibility of changes in driving modes while accentuating their formative aspects.
A design has been devised to enrich the driving experience with elements that tilt and lighting effects that vary with speed.
The battery power UX has also been greatly enhanced, with the UX providing contextual changes on a single screen based on battery status, thereby minimizing the learning curve and delivering intuitive usability.
Ultimately, a graphic style has been unearthed that not only aligns with Kia’s brand aspirations but also complements the vehicle’s design, employing eye friendly, recognizable colors to round out a unique and contemporary brand experience for Kia.
