New Orleans, Louisiana, USA
Designed by Victor Trahan and his design team at Trahan Architects, Julia Street is a contemporary mixed-use development destined for a 35,251-square-foot city block slated for construction in the Central Business District of New Orleans.

The project earned a 2020 International Architecture Award from The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and The Chicago Athenaeum.
On Julia Street, a vertical community composed of two structures, a 49-story residential micro-tower, and a 16-story mid-rise building, are connected by a shared garden terrace atop a podium.

The form of the two buildings is each uniquely designed to respond to the conditions of the site and surrounding context.
The two glass geometric monoliths are in dialogue with each other, while also offering residents’ endless vistas of the city and Louisiana landscape beyond.
