Celebrating an industrial aesthetic, the Cove chair by Tom Fereday is a furniture piece made of repurposed industrial materials sourced from the waste streams of Sydney’s machining industry as part of a sustainable collection that features a table and a sofa.

The industrial materials and processes of the frame are contrasted by soft analine leather and represent an opportunity to experiment with the process of traditional sand casting.
The Cove chair has side panels made from flat planes of uninterrupted and highly polished metal that culminate in a protruding lip on its top edge.
The designer has used thick cushions upholstered in aniline leather – leather that is colored with soluble dyes that do not impede the visibility of the natural texture.
