Finnish designer Tapio Anttila designs along with Delux Production an elegant and multipurpose wood-framed sofa bed that can fit in any living or guest room.

The idea behind this project is to make a sofa bed that is practical, easy to use, and comfortable to sit and sleep in.
The project has been been awarded a 2020 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

With its full wood frame, Frendi is a modern take on the traditional wooden sleeper sofa. It slides open easily on rails to make a bed for two overnight guests.

A mattress pad, pillows, and blanket serve as cushioning in the sofa’s leather-trimmed bolster pillows.
Bed lines are easy to withdraw to use and store back to the pillows.
Nevertheless, it looks nothing like a sofa bed!
Frendi belongs to the designer’s concept called Tapio Anttila Collection.
