Studio 519 creates Moja, an outdoor furniture collection —in collaboration with Egoé Life— with the main scope to create outdoor furniture that would be as comfortable as indoor furniture; a soft-seating furniture collection for gardens, terraces, and other outdoor areas.
The selected materials and the character of the design make it possible for the set to be placed in any garden or terrace in all seasons and weather.
The project has been been awarded a 2020 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
It also meets requirements for high sustainability because it is made of very durable materials and utilizes unpretentious visual language.
The skeleton is made of galvanized steel finished with powder coating.
The backrest and the top of the table/footrest are made of Batyline outdoor mesh.
The seat and the cushion of the footrest are made of polyurethane foam Dryfeel covered with high-quality outdoor fabric.
The mesh tabletop is supported by a steel structure to make sure it is steady enough to hold cups and glasses and a cushion can be attached to it with a system of magnets to turn it into a footrest.
Moja also offers some storage space in the form of optional pockets and straps placed on the armrests.
