Zürich, Switzerland
Designed by SLIK Architekten, YOND combines an attractive urban location with a new type of space, which is aimed in particular at the “urban trade.”
A robust structure with high payloads and 5 ½ meter high rooms allows almost unlimited flexibility for all types of use.
From classic service providers to urban creative industries to industrial production, this building can respond to a wide variety of usage requirements.
In addition to the usage-related openness, YOND also offers a very high degree of spatial flexibility. The rental space can be continuously adapted to the needs and wishes of the tenants, both in terms of size and spatial design.
A system of intermediate floors allows the individual design and easy adaptability of the rental space.
In combination with the almost floor-to-ceiling glazing, this creates an atmosphere that is reminiscent of classic industrial buildings and combines them with a contemporary infrastructure and service offer.
From the floor plan to the appearance, the architecture follows the principle of simplicity. Simple and powerful on the outside, functional and authentic on the inside.
Openness, clarity and reduction create a room climate that promotes concentration and exchange.
The ground floor offers space for audience-oriented public uses and will in the future also enliven the quarter and the surrounding area as a meeting point for the YOND community.
