Prepared in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (“GRI”) Standards, Sino Group Sustainability Report 2022 designed by Sedgwick Richardson (HK) Ltd. and Sino Group provides an overview of its sustainability strategies, initiatives, and performance.
The report also includes its management approach leading up to the 2030 Sustainability Vision and our Decarbonisation Blueprint to contribute to Net Zero Carbon in 2050 and beyond.
It focuses on the sustainability performance of its headquarters, managed properties, construction sites as well as hotels in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Sydney.
For its sustainable framework and complementing graphic design, Sino Group Sustainability Report 2022 has recently been awarded a 2023 Green Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
Sino Group Sustainability Report 2022 has addressed the requirement outlined in the Environment, Social and Governance Reporting Guide under The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong.
Sino Group’s climate actions are disclosed with reference to the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (“TCFD”) recommendations.
“Together for a Sustainable Future” is its theme for 2022 and it aptly encapsulates the Group’s commitment to sustainability which is central to our mission of “Creating Better Lifescapes.”
It encompasses three strategic brand pillars namely: Green Living, Innovative Design and Community Spirit which the team dedicates their sustainability effort.
The Value Creation Framework outlines Sino Group’s aim to create long-term value for stakeholders and our communities, ensure the designers grow more resilient together, and build a healthier, better future.
Respecting the relationship with nature and with one another, the designers create environments that nurture sustainability and balance.
Therefore in the visual articulation of the report, the designers strategically accentuate the brand by showcasing the landscape architecture and green living environment that the team meticulously designs for its communities to enjoy.
The designers also design user-friendly diagrams and information graphics to illustrate our strategy such as “Value Creation Framework” and “Performance Highlights.”
Colors and iconography are carefully selected and crafted to explain topics such as: “Our Decarbonisation Blueprint,” “Sustainability Vision 2030 goals” and “Material Topics.”
The design is to translate the technical information in a more digestible and attractive way to read.
These design elements can also be easily adapted for other media, for example, video and social media, to promote our sustainability effort.
The designers also used FSC paper and eco-friendly inks for printing.
