Optoma’s ML1080 series is a compact RGB laser projector that provides cinematic enjoyment on the go, featuring the latest laser technology, the projector is much more environmentally friendly compared to mainstream lamp-based equivalents.
This is due to the improved energy efficiency and longer lifespans of laser light sources.
For its sustainable design, ML1080 Portable Projector has recently been awarded a 2023 Green Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
Not only is the projector’s fine matte finish created to be elegant and tactile, but done so in a way that reduces its impact on the environment.
With nanoimprint lithography technology, a nanopatterning method, the process of embellishing the ML1080’s surfaces is more sustainable than other more traditional methods as it uses less water and is more energy-efficient.
Also set out to pack all of its cutting-edge technology into a form factor that weighs less than 1kg for a pocket-sized device that is convenient for users but also facilitates more efficient transport thus reducing carbon emissions.
Taking a step further toward sustainability, the projector’s chassis is made with up to 50% PCR (Post-Consumer Recycle) plastics to minimize landfill waste and reduce its carbon footprint.
For further impact reduction, the projector comes in FSC-certified packaging. With ToF (Time-of-Flight) technology, this compact projector automatically corrects and tweaks images within 2 seconds without manual adjustment.
Also with PIR (Passive Infrared Sensor) technology, the device reduces brightness when it detects people nearby to prevent harm to people’s eyes. Furthermore, the flexible hinge enables users to project anywhere, even in the smallest and most compact spaces.
