Sean Zhang and Ocrum present Nido—a new side table with a basket that is both a stool and a home for all the little things that matter while storing small things from magazines to little objects.

The steel rod frame creates a basket for storing small items.
The top can be easily moved when storing items.

It is both a stool and a side table.

Nido comes with a powder-coated steel frame in different colors with a matching soft or hard seat top.

The project has been awarded a 2020 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
The name Nido is the Italian word for “nest.”

The designer always wanted to play with lines to create a unique optical illusion from both 2D to 3D.
The inspiration is from birds’ nests, and it could be combined perfectly with the metal frame to create a stool that is both for seating and holding personal items.
