Florence, Italy
Nilo Gioacchini and his design team Sara Zama and Mirko Lorenzini at Nilo Gioacchini Design have created the “Slide” toilet for Viglacera Trading JSC as a functional bathroom fixture that overcomes prejudices that have been present until now.
Evolving with new behavioral models, the sanitary toilet is transforming itself.
Currently, the sanitary toilet is just a simple stylistic expression that can be coordinated with the space that contains it.
Slide intends to overcome this dichotomy by proposing a new expression: The sanitary ware is transformed into a “Household Appliance” in line with the trend that has existed for some time in the technological home sector (i.e. Home Automation).
Slide won a 2021 GOOD DESIGN Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
The technology that distinguishes it, constantly evolving, helps to solve all functional preconceptions in the best possible way.
Slide presents a new way to open the WC lid, with the ability to be wound up.
Its carbon-strengthened structure is flexible, removable, and washable.
It comes in a range of colors that fit any space and style.
