At the heart of the OM5 is its pioneering, body-weight-activated, custom-created mechanism that intuitively responds to the sitter’s shifting weight, allowing for hands-free adjustments without the limiting downside of too many manual controls.
First introduced in 2009, the 2024 complete (re-)evolution of this one-of-a-kind design sought to preserve that extraordinary ability to balance users in any position–from upright tasking, to dynamically flowing anywhere along its reclined posture range.
The OM5® features a diverse array of aesthetics to allow it to fit in with nearly any working style and aesthetic/end-user environment. Designers and end-users alike can easily meet their style needs with a broad range of fully cushioned backrests in 2 sizes (mid- and highback); as well as a ventilated, Polymer slat-back in the same 2 sizes; and then finally a visually flexible selection of 8 different backrest mesh colors coupled with 3 neutral but varied frame colors.
So, whether a healthcare environment desires fully cleanable & wipeable Polymer backrests; or an executive board room needs fully upholstered, leather high-back chairs; or individual workstations need aesthetically pleasing, breathable mesh backrests in different colors for different “neighborhoods”, OM5 really has a solution custom-fit for them.
Best of all, OM5’s unique, easily hot-swappable seat cushion can be changed out in the field, tools-free, and therefore allows for an innovative refresh to seat upholstery choices even years after the original, beautiful selection has gotten a bit… well, stale.
