Swedish design engineer Niklas Anderberg has designed the next-generation two-seater airframe that combines convenient side by side (120cm wide!) seating with high-end performance with an FAI world speed record holder at 190 km/h (390 km/h).
Manufactured in Eslöv, 20 kilometers from Malmö in the Skåne region, Blackwing is the brainchild and passion project of its visionary founder Niklas Anderberg—an aerospace engineer who dreamt of designing his own airplane while working at Saab some 15 years ago.
Using carbon fiber instead of fiberglass or aluminum means that Blackwing achieves an empty weight of just 325 kilograms and consumes less fuel than a modern car.
At the same time, this single-engine aircraft packs a serious punch—featuring a tested top speed of 400 km/h, digitised GPS instruments and a 10-hour flight range.
The Blackwing 635RG is today’s most advanced Ultralight. The full prepreg carbon airframe is the lightest and strongest in its class.
As a pilot/owner, the Blackwing will give one the best aircraft in the microlight class.
Certified with German Kannblatt for 600kg and a spin recovery tailplane design, BLACKWING offers a lot of safety.
The Next-gen airframe combines convenient side by side (120cm wide!) seating with high-end tandem performance.
No more compromises needed.
As a pilot/owner, the Blackwing takes you higher and faster than ever. From slow to fast to even faster, you are in full control.
The 635RG is turbo-charged with the Rotax 915is.
The standard for the 912iS and the 915iS Rotax engine is the Single Lever Power Control function.
This enables automatic real-time inflight propeller pitch adjustment for the aircraft resulting in the same easy handling of a fixed-pitch propeller combined with the higher performance of a constant speed-propeller.
The Blackwing optimized performance is done in cooperation with MT propeller and RS flight systems.
