Paris, France
Celebrating the year when skateboarding was first admitted to the Olympic Games, Paris 2024 Olympics presents the Cycloid Piazza, by Raphael Zarka and Jean-Benoît Vétillard in collaboration with Nike, a skateable installation that incorporates a polychrome palette reminiscent of Renaissance and modernist aesthetics.

“Zarka invites us to re-experiment with these curves, studied in classical mechanics, through the practice and spectacle of skateboarding,” announces Centre Pompidou that has commissioned a PoMo-style skatepark on its famous forecourt.
The street skatepark features a bright blue half-pipe and a mix of quarter pipes, half-bowl stairs, and manual pads for tricks.

The skatepark is not just a sports facility but a cultural hub that brings together skate culture, art, music, and sports and is open to amateur and professional skateboarders alike.
The Cycloid Piazza will be available between June 22nd and September 15th, 2024.
