Chou Wei Liang, Aditya Cipta Sugandha, Christine Natalia of New Elegant have designed the multipurpose stool, Hito, a small chair designed to re-consider how people interact with their pets indoors.
Hito chair was recently awarded with a 2021 Good Design award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
Hito is the first stool to offer a shelf under the seating for pets to lie down or as normal storage for favorite books.
The front side of the stool leg is a feature site for users to choose from various shapes of openings like a Cat-Head, Mission style, Ladder style, or Cross following the user’s taste.
A low backrest with a handle option is an additional function not only to provide back support but also to ease users when moving the stool.
