Crafted by Christian Gumpold, the Migaloo M5-165M Submersible Superyacht is engineered to dive up to 250 meters deep and can function underwater for as long as four weeks, it is perfectly suited for a range of environments, from tropical to polar, and carries a price tag of $2 billion.
With a range of more than 9,300 miles, the Migaloo M5 is expected to travel at speeds of up to 20 knots when surfaced and 12 knots underwater.
It measures 165.8 meters in length and 23 meters across at its widest point.
It will be able to accommodate up to 20 guests, alongside a crew of up to 40 to ensure all their needs are met.
Although the interior layout is customizable, the Migaloo M5 will be able to house an opulent 36-seater dining room, panoramic glass wall, as well as a wine cellar and cinema.
It has two swimming pools, a Jacuzzi, and a helipad.
For those looking for adventure, the Migaloo M5 will be equipped with flyboards, hoverboards, paddleboards, kitesurfing, and kayaking equipment.
“The target audience for the Migaloo M5 are visionary billionaires, with or without existing superyacht experience, who have extraordinary demands for exclusivity, safety, adventure, or experiences,” claims Christian Gumpold, chief designer and CEO of Migaloo.
“As it is a completely new development, such a project will require corresponding monetary resources, take a lot of time for design, construction, and building, and demand many decisions.”
The M5 utilizes technologies borrowed from existing motor yachts and submersibles, such as its double-hull construction, multiple pressure hulls, and diesel-electric propulsion augmented by air-independent propulsion.
