The HAMM HC 110i – 250i series designed by Markus Bees of Dialogform for HAMM optimizes important aspects for single-drum compactors such as visibility, ergonomics, operation, and safety.
Both single-drum compactors HC 110i-160i and HC 180i-250i made by HAMM AG represent a new generation from 11 to 25 tons.
The parallel, modular concept significantly reduces manufacturing costs as well as operating costs for the owner.
Performance has been significantly increased through new concepts in engine and vibration management, while reducing all emission levels.
HAMM HC 110i – 250i has recently been awarded a 2022 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
The spacious cab sets new standards in terms of visibility and ergonomic workplace design, including “Easy Drive.”
Thanks to new machine management concepts, the HC series achieves greatly increased overall performance.
ECO Mode effectively supports the operator so that the rollers often operate in the economical part-load range without sacrificing performance.
Optimized weight distribution with additional traction control on all HC series single-drum compactors results in greatly improved hill climbing ability.
The front end has been designed with a significantly increased space around the drum so that no material can accumulate on the drum.
Fit for the digital construction site, they are “digital ready,” with the appropriate interfaces, the HC line can be individually equipped for the digitally networked construction site.
The HC line thus fully meets future quality and communication requirements.
The “Smart Doc” app developed by HAMM AG graphically displays the compaction parameters with compaction progress and protocols the measured stiffness of the pavement with position data.
In the “Smart Doc” app, even inexperienced operators can immediately see whether and where sufficient compaction has been achieved and where compaction is still required.
The single-drum compactors can also communicate with digital applications from other suppliers via a standardized interface.
The taut, muscular design gives the HC line a remarkably dynamic and athletic appearance in both CAB and ROPS versions.
The design language is in the tradition of the very memorable HAMM corporate design and the independent lines of the previous generations.
However, due to the use of materials and new manufacturing processes, the design has been reinterpreted in its appearance.
With its ambiance, the new cab offers the driver a completely new sense of space.
Technical and functional requirements influence the design just as much as application-related shaping.
Important aspects were optimum visibility for the operator of the working area, workplace ergonomics, simple and intuitive operation, and safety aspects.
