Paola Lenti celebrates the value of memory through the re-edition of iconic products created by renowned figures in design history — projects that, even at the time of their conception, stood out for their modernity, and which today continue to express their original, innovative spirit. They speak through the same timeless, refined, and essential language that also defines Paola Lenti’s aesthetic code. This dialogue between past and present highlights an authentic stylistic continuity that both reaffirms and helps shape the company’s identity.
Légère is a tribute to the visionary intuition of Angelo Mangiarotti who, with this project developed together with his life and work partner Chiara Pampo, transcended the traditional concept of upholstery by brilliantly combining form, function, and comfort. The re-edition presented by Paola Lenti employs textile materials that reflect the brand’s identity and ethical values.

The armchair and the sofa, both generously sized, feature a solid oak frame, available in natural or stained finishes. The cushion upholstery — fully removable — is offered in a carefully curated range of colours, harmonised with the extensive palette of the exclusive Piqué fabric used for the self-supporting textile shell.
This innovative structural textile element, ingeniously connected to the solid wood frame, supports the seat and back cushions. Simply laid in place, the cushions give Légère a look that is both inviting and informal.
“I found the combination of the frame and cushions strikingly modern for its time. It inspired me to reintroduce Légère in a textile version, capable of expressing, through our own language, a timeless sense of modernity.” Paola Lenti

Angelo Mangiarotti: (Milan, February 26, 1921 – Milan, June 30, 2012) After graduating from the Politecnico di Milano in 1948 and gaining experience in the United States, Angelo Mangiarotti returned to Italy and founded his studio in Milan in 1955. Alongside his professional activity as an architect, urban planner, and designer, he engaged in a prolific teaching career at some of the most prestigious universities in Italy and abroad. Mangiarotti’s design approach distinguished him from other exponents of the first generation of Italian design through his ability to adapt each project to its intended use, function, and to the specific properties of the materials employed. His research was driven by a dual fascination: industrial processes on one hand, and artistic expression on the other.
