São Paulo, Brazil
As part of São Paulo’s BOOMSPDESIGN 2020 celebrations, Jürgen Mayer H. Partners was invited to develop his juicy furniture collection for Vermeil, using the company’s creative processes, combining the unique beauty of Brazilian woods, the sophistication of construction systems and finishes.
Curated by Beto Cocenza, BOOMSPDESIGN—The International Forum on Architecture, Design and Art is one of the HUBs at Designweek São Paulo—the largest urban design festival in Latin America.
One of the highlight in 2020 was Jürgen Mayer H. / J. MAYER H. and Partners honored as “Designer of the Year 2020.”
In the Familiar Collection, Mayer H presents a family of 16 stools divided into four series: MARIAH JOSEH / JOSEH MARIAH 1- 4.
The ALEH chair, the side table HELENAH and the EDUH bookcase complete the product family.
The pieces are structured in naval plywood and laminated with Brazilian woods imbuia, freijó, jequitibá and also “laca.”
The new collection speaks much about the aesthetics, design philosophy, and approach in this German architect’s work.
