HP Design creates the new HP EliteBook 800 G9 series (830/840/860) that is developed for the enterprise space with an emphasis on sustainability, security, and conferencing experiences.

HP EliteBook 800 G9 series’s project recently won a 2022 Good Design Award in addition to a 2022 Green Good Design Award from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

HP Design is challenged to create a range that uses sustainable manufacturing methods to create a premium machine.

The team has used materials like aluminum with CNC machining to deliver machines with a superior look and feel.

The challenge is to make a high-performance laptop using sustainable materials.

HP design focuses on sustainability as a priority.

The aluminum used in HP EliteBook 800 series notebooks is recycled with select internal contents manufactured from reclaimed ocean-bound plastics.

The HP EliteBook 800 G9 series has rounded sides that make it more comfortable to hold and look thinner when viewed from eye level.

The spherical edges also make it easier to open.

The trackpad is large and matches the ratio of the 16:10 display.

Surrounding the trackpad is a diamond cut and polished ring, machined after anodizing the premium aluminum palm rest.

The 16:10 display makes a large difference for users.

Productivity gets easier with more vertical height to see content on the display.

Browsing requires less scrolling.

For the work-from-home professional, more screens to focus on your work means your work environment is better.

The HP EliteBook 800 G9 series is available in 13-, 14-, and 16-inch sizes, and all weigh under 3 pounds.

It’s rewarding for users who need to travel, but also need the screen size for their work.

All metals used in the computer are recyclable.

Internally, recycled ocean-bound plastics are used and the paints are all water-borne, which release volatile organic compounds in the manufacturing process.

The 5-megapixel camera with a privacy shutter makes sure the user looks good when they want to be seen and aren’t seen unintentionally.

HP EliteBook 800 G9’s audio and video are built for work-from-home, as you can stand and move to stretch during your meeting and the camera will follow you with a 5MP+ camera with HP Auto Frame.

Finally, you can conference in front of a window and show up clearly thanks to Backlight WDR which improves challenging lighting conditions.

You can be clear on screen as evening sets in as the camera brightens my image in lowlight conditions (and don’t want the glare from lights).
