Venaria Reale, Torino, Italy
Offtec has been a finalist in an international design competition for creating the Gruppo Vergero Headquarters as they were able to capture and translate into architectural design the needs and identity of Gruppo Vergero, proposing a structure at the same time of effect and elegance, open and transparent towards the exterior, welcoming and participatory in its interiors.
Gruppo Vergero Headquarters has been awarded a 2022 International Architecture Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
The new building would house dedicated areas for industrial operations and offices that host the central logistics base, advanced plant engineering for environmental protection, and the administrative headquarters of the Group.

Since the project site is along the Turin ring road, the aim is to create a landscape design that catches the attention and arouses the curiosity of passers-by.
Therefore, a “green wall” is placed parallel to the ring road and along the whole site, featuring a diagonal shape and overlapping the elevation of the headquarters, which is also characterized by a diagonal trend but in the opposite direction.

The diagonal shape of the elevation reflects the interior space as the maximum point corresponds to a triple-height space that emphasizes the entrance to the headquarters.
The building is a linear terraced volume with variable height.
It’s an architecture with a compact shape and oriented on the E -W axis to ensure effective environmental control and maximize the comfort of interior spaces.
