Hydration in professional environments has historically been inefficient. The global hydration market is a $32 billion industry dominated by commodity products focused purely on storage & volume.
In high-pressure environments, such as a racing cockpit or a surgical suite, maintaining hydration is a critical safety challenge where the method of consumption involves manual bottles.
Even a 1% drop in hydration can lead to a 12% performance drop. Traditional hydration method in these environments is often a reactive, “guesswork” behavior that leads to dehydration due to lack of water consumption, while also contributing to the global plastic crisis.
won a 2026 Green Good Design Award from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design, and Urban Studies.

FluidLogic recognized that to be truly “sustainable,” a system must optimize both the resource (water) & the delivery method (drinking vessel) to maintain hydration.
FluidLogic & Loft Design set out to redefine hydration as an active, measured, & optimized performance strategy.
Loft Design partnered with FluidLogic to create a comprehensive hydration ecosystem which replaces the “disposable” culture of high-performance hydration with a durable, reusable, & efficient system.
The work focused on building a cohesive brand & product ecosystem through the FluidLogic App & the GPR50 intelligent wearable pack.
FluidLogic uses a proprietary Active Hydration algorithm that factors in a user’s unique biometrics & exertion levels.
It delivers precise micro-doses of water directly to the user.
This ensures that the body absorbs nearly all water consumed, maximizing resource efficiency & reducing the biological waste of sweat & frequent urination caused by inefficient hydration.
Loft Design’s role was to transform complex military-grade technology into an intuitive consumer experience. The GPR50 wearable system integrates multiple hardware & interaction touchpoints designed for low-friction use.

Subtle vibration cues in the shoulder strap notify users when it is time to drink, eliminating the need to think about hydration during activity.
In-helmet water delivery: A customizable helmet-mounted system delivers water directly to the user’s mouth at the push of a button.
Wireless hydration remote: A handlebar or lever-mounted remote allows instant water delivery without releasing grip or breaking focus.
Button-activated refill: A refill system enables quick replenishment without removing the reservoir, supporting efficiency during extended use.

Seamless digital-to-physical journey: The mobile app allows users to calibrate their hydration needs based on their body weight & activity. The system syncs with the hardware to deliver water via haptic reminders.
Longevity: Built for the various environments, the hardware features a rugged, all-weather design. By using long-lasting materials like the EVA spine for the pack, Loft ensured the product stays out of the landfill.
The app unifies these components into a seamless experience, providing clear feedback, performance insights, & recommendations while maintaining a clean, intuitive interface designed for use before, during, & after activity.
While the technology began in extreme sports, its application for surgeons & medical professionals represents a leap in workplace wellness & sustainability.
Through Fluidlogic & Loft Design’s partnership, a complex technological solution has been turned into a life-enhancing tool.
