As a large-format interpretation of the original BOTTA 24-hour single-hand watch – invented by Klaus Botta in 1986 – it represents a deliberate shift from fragmented timekeeping toward mindful orientation.
UNO 2 Wall Clock – Slate Edition by Botta-Design, won a 2025 Good Design Award from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design, and Urban Studies.
The horizontally split dial features two honest materials: finely brushed aluminum (day) and natural slate stone (night). This contrasting structure helps users instantly understand the time of day at a glance – no mental decoding needed.
Precision-milled numerals and markers reinforce the tactile experience and craftsmanship.
A special edition integrates Superluminova markers into the night section, ensuring low-light visibility without compromising the inherent minimalism. The design thus fits well into versatile real-life scenarios and spaces. From living rooms, creative studios and offices to restful bedrooms.
Every clock is hand-made in Germany in over 50 individual steps, using regional suppliers, recyclable materials, and energy-efficient methods.
