Boheme is an inspired new collection by renowned designer, Sebastian Herkner, for JANUS et Cie. The Boheme two- and three-seat sofas are characterized by striking, dual-toned polypropylene straps handwoven around minimalist, powder coated aluminum frames.
Boheme Sofas by Studio Sebastian Herkner, won a 2025 Good Design Award from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design, and Urban Studies.

The sofas are available in three alluring colorways—Alabaster/Brook, a neutral taupe with silvered sage; Bronze/Mariana, a deep bronze with blue-black; and Talc/Mojave, a soft white with warm greige—and composed in large, angular weaves that showcase their contrasts in an eye-catching, graphically geometric pattern. A complex engineering process requiring use of specialized machinery was employed to create these rich and unique woven fibers.
In creating the collection, Herkner took inspiration from a feeling of connection with nature and in finding the balance between tradition and innovation, softness and coolness, intimacy and communication.
