Zurich-based Bellprat Partner will showcase Azerbaijan’s rich cultural heritage and its forward-thinking approach to sustainability, creating the country’s 2025 EXPO Pavilion, while focusing on nature, technology, and tradition.
The overarching theme for Expo 2025 is “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” which focuses on creating a sustainable and harmonious future through technological advancements, cultural exchange, and environmental stewardship.
Azerbaijan’s pavilion will align with this theme, showcasing the country’s commitment to sustainability, cultural diversity, and its rich natural resources.
It will likely explore how Azerbaijan balances modernization with its ancient traditions and unique geographical and cultural identity.
The architects have stated they will use state-of-the-art technologies to highlight the country’s advancements in sustainable development, particularly around renewable energy and environmental conservation.
The design will incorporate interactive elements to make the experience both educational and engaging.
Azerbaijan is known for its vast landscapes, from the Caspian Sea to the Caucasus Mountains, and the pavilion is likely to highlight the country’s natural beauty and its efforts to preserve these environments.
Sustainability, a core theme of Expo 2025, will be a central focus, perhaps with green technologies, renewable energy sources, and eco-friendly building materials reflected in the pavilion’s architecture.
The use of organic shapes, natural materials, and light could be key aspects, symbolizing Azerbaijan’s blend of nature and innovation.
