Beast Health develops the Beast Blender, a high-performance and—as the name suggests—strong blender that aims to inspire people to live a healthier life by eating fresh whole foods.
The project has been awarded a 2021 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
It achieves this by providing a simple, thoughtful user experience, best-in-class smoothie blending performance, and a sophisticated design that is intended to be proudly displayed on the kitchen counter as an icon of one’s healthy lifestyle.
Health and wellness are taking center stage worldwide as we learn more about how what we put into our bodies today affects our general health and immune systems long-term. On top of this, switching to or maintaining a healthy lifestyle should be easy.
That’s why the Beast Blender is designed to live on your counter and built to last. Most existing personal blenders on the market are built using cheap construction that leads to various malfunctions and short product lifespan and are designed without home decor and aesthetics in mind.
Beast Health set out to change that by building a high-quality machine that outperforms other personal blenders and is designed to aesthetically add to the design of a kitchen, rather than detract from it.
The Beast Blender was designed to not only outperform other personal blenders on the market while making smoothies but also to be beautiful enough to make the user proud to have it out on the kitchen counter – and not hidden in a cabinet – between uses.
By making the blender simple to use, high-performance, and beautiful, we hope that it also inspires the users to use it more often.
The design team treats the blender as a monolith that displays a harmonious relationship between the product’s three key components: the motor, blade, and vessel.
The blade assembly’s connection to the base was inspired by the precise connection of a camera lens to the camera body.
The vessel attaches to the blade assembly with the zero-draft edges aligning flush, creating a cohesive connection between the two components.
Quickly pressing the button for less than a second pulses the ingredients, while pressing the button for more than one second initiates a 1-minute timed blend program with intervals that assure optimal blending of all ingredients.
The Beast Blender monitors its blade speed and makes constant adjustments to maintain consistent speed and torque.
It also confirms that the vessel, blade assembly, and blender base are securely connected before it will begin blending, and monitors the internal temperature of the vessel’s contents to avoid overheating and blending of hot liquids.
The blending vessels are made of ultra-durable, super-thick TritanTM to provide a leak-resistant seal with the blade assembly. The blending vessels have an innovative 12-rib design for increased turbulence to create the smoothest blends.
The included drinking lid and carry cap make it easy to take your blend on the go, and the storage lids are great for storing blends or ingredients.
