Toledo, Ohio, USA
Upon Reflection (the Sky’s the Limit) is a ‘shade structure’, that blends architecture and sculpture, designed by Jason Klimoski and StudioKCA.
It is located in the heart of the city of Toledo, Ohio, within a new pedestrian-friendly median and it was commissioned by the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo.

The project has been awarded a 2023 American Architecture Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
Upon Reflection (the Sky’s the Limit) creates a small area of respite and reflection in what is a busy thoroughfare through downtown Toledo.
Using reflective stainless steel and LED lighting, the piece forms a place where people can catch a breath, and feel a sense of weightlessness and possibility with the outside world lost in reflection, and the sky so near and present.
