Humanrace comprises three products designed to be used in succession as a simple skincare routine: Rice Powder Cleanser, Lotus Enzyme Exfoliator and Humidifying Cream.

Humanrace products operate with a refill system. The packaging has a cream inner unit made of over 50% post-consumer recycled landfill plastic. These refills can be popped out of the green base and recycled. When you need a new refill, order online and we’ll ship to you. The refill units are sealed with heat instead of a traditional plastic cap. The company is proud of this change, allowing over 1,200 single-use plastic caps per hour during manufacturing.

Post-consumer recycled material is much easier to recycle compared to packaging made of different plastics bonded together that plants cannot sort. Every material on the green packaging, including the labels, are made of the same single material. By doing this, no additional sorting needs to occur during the recycling process. 

The recovered material used for the green containers is termed post-consumer waste plastic, and is recovered from landfill sites close to the Humanrace manufacturing plant.

“My most favorite place to be is on the precipice of what doesn’t exist,” Williams said about his new adventure Humanrace.

“Imagining what it can be and then working with an amazing team of architects to reverse engineer and build that thing that didn’t exist before.”
